Advocates Travel to Albany

On February 11, we were thrilled to bring more than a hundred New Yorkers from all over the state to the State Capitol. Conservation advocates traveled to Albany to share how the Environmental Protection Fund (EPF) has benefited their communities.

Senator Harckham and Assemblywoman Glick, Chair of the Committee on Environmental Conservation hosted the group, welcoming advocates to town during the morning program.

In meetings with 80 state legislators and staff, advocates urged the state legislators to continue the EPF's decades of success by ensuring the final state budget includes $500 million for the Environmental Protection Fund.

Since 1993, the EPF has preserved special places, protected clean air and water, reduced pollution and waste, expanded recreation, supported environmental justice organizations, and created good jobs.
